Who is Amanda from VA4crochet?
Amanda is a founding member of the Crochet Professionals Network and owner of LIMNade LLC. Through VA4crochet, the crochet-focused part of her business, she provides crochet designers with content and support, allowing them to spend more time doing what they love—creating!
She’s a long-time crocheter, blog follower, and pattern consumer, so she’s passionate about crochet. Working with a growing list of designers has given her specialized industry knowledge that helps her to serve crochet designers better.
Now you’ve got the basics, let’s learn a little more about Amanda and her business.
What do you do and who do you serve?
I’m a virtual assistant focusing on content creation like blog posts (roundups are a specialty), e-mail campaigns, or social media posts. I love working with designers and other creative professionals!
What is one thing you have done that has influenced the direction of your business?
Getting in the room and interacting with designers face-to-face, like at Crochet Business Summit Live. Building those personal connections is invaluable. Because you can’t always meet in-person, Facebook groups like Crochet and Knit Blogger Social have also been a great way to network.
What inspired you to start your business?
My grandma taught me to crochet when I was 10. Since then I have loved crochet and have hung out around the fringe of crochet business groups. But I also love language and writing (I call it my other craft) and I realized that I can use those skills to support crochet designers who would rather be designing.
What type of collaborations are you looking for?
I would love to work with crochet designers, especially those ready to take on their first VA, who want to grow our businesses together! I’d also like to connect with other VAs to share skills and ideas.
What is your superpower?
Although most of my education and experience are in writing, I’m also an experienced crocheter and I know what your customers want to hear—because I’m one of them! I’m also super excited about creating SEO-optimized content and am constantly exploring new ways to get your blog and social media profiles noticed in search results!
What is something in life that makes you smile 🙂?
My kids, my cats, and tackling a new and challenging crochet pattern!

Amanda is a long-time crafter and grammar geek, both of which she brings to her work as a virtual assistant for creative professionals—primarily crochet designers. She loves a challenge, whether that’s taking on a new craft (she’ll try anything once!) or picking up a new skill to better serve her clients. When she’s not working, you’ll find her relaxing at home with her kids or taking a leisurely stroll through the woods.
